Senator Primeaux's Contributions

Senator Primeaux has been working closely with many of her fellow Senators, even playing a big role in sponsoring a few bills. Currently though, she is working on a bill of her own, The Educating our Children in the Outdoors Act (ECO). The purpose of this bill is to better incorporate outdoor education as a main part of our education system. Outdoor education has been proven to help children with anxiety, depression, obesity, and ADHD. It has also been seen in many cases to improve test scores among students. The outdoors provides children with not only an outlook for creativity and activeness, it also provides children with vital skills for the future and a greater appreciation for the world around them. This bill is still in the committee stage of the Senate.

Overview

Right now is a very excting time in the Senate. We just came back from a long recess and are about to hear many interesting bills. These range from bills about environmental issues, space exploration, gun control, violence against women, reproductive rights, immigration, etc.
